Newark On Trent's Church spire, stands aloft, the clock says 11.20, the chimney's and roof add a nice bit of foreground interest and the monochrome catches the tones and textures on a sunny December morning
I haven't don a 3 good thing on my narrative for a while, so lets have a go ...........
1 Got some nice Christmas food goodies from Waitrose and Marks and Sparks
2 Got some nice Christmas Wine from Sainsbury's ..Campo Viejo Gran Reserva
You've been working the supermarkets Phil! Nice contrasty image - I keep meaning to take the clock at King's because the time is wrong- which obviously doesnt actually have any impact on the photo but i like the idea!
@fannyb thanks fanny, converging verticals occurr when you point your camera up and try to photograph a building or architecture ...the building starts sloping ...the vertical lines start converging inwards.... you can correct it post processing if you have the knack in photoshop or GIMP or something like that....but I don't have the knack...well i probably do but don't have the patience !!
@judithg tanks judith, we usually go to newark on trent once a month because it has a waitrose ....nottingham only has a tiny 'city centre waitrose' ...a bit like a tesco metro ........would you believe Arnold was going to get a Waitrose ...on the site of an old big laundry....but when the landlord realised waitrose wanted to but the land he upped the fee / rent .......the site is still derelict !!!
@hobgoblinwychwo thanks for your comments john
