I am way way behind on posting....This is a Tuesday pic posted on a Friday ...on a Wednesday date.
If I do 3 good things, what date do I use for the good thing...Tues, Weds or Frid ?
It's often said that when you are taking pics, the first pic and the last pic are often the best. Well this is my last picture I took at Tuesdays graduation ceremony. We are walking towards the on site parking on the Uni' campus.
From left to right ...My wife Jane, Kirsty's fiancée Matt and my eldest daughter Kirsty
I love contre jour shots because the light is always fantastic and quite often the camera copes rellly well on 'auto' / 'program' ...'P' for professional a friend at camera club says :)
Things you can see in the photo.....well obviously ..Jane , Matt and Kirsty......winter coats for the ladies, but Matt is being a 'tough man' and just walking in his suit in the sub zero temperatures...actually he accidentally left his coat at our house, so he was being tough 'not by choice'. Matt is carrying my camera bag...I don't know why he was doing that ! It looks like Matt and Kirsty are carrying a 'Police no waiting / parking' cone, but that's just the luck of the camera angle !!
Talking of 'no parking' cones , just before I took this shot there was a "Uni' security" man shouting to one of his colleagues to stop a car who's driver had just put a couple of cones in his boot...the cheek of some people !
3 good things
Tues : The graduation
Weds : A "Christmas Concert" at my daughters school ....it only seems 5 minutes ago since we were watching both my daughters doing Christmas Concerts Recitals at school...an now she's organising them as a teacher !!!
I like three good things for three days! And I like contre jour - a lot - and no nasty green sun spots. And a future son in law knows what's good for him!
Lovely shot Phil, I love the long shadows & the sparkle .... our kids grow up to fast. A had to laugh at Judith ... a future son-in-law knows whats good from him!
It is a great shot for the end of the day. Your detail explanation of the photo made me smile! Very nice three good things that happened. Enjoy your weekend.
Beautifully done Phil, perfect backlighting and yet plenty of colour and detail is preserved! Funny more often than not I find my first pic is the one I like the most!!
