Merry Christmas To My 365 Friends : From Phil and his little Photography Assistant
Merry Christmas to all my friends on 365 from Phil and Ruby ....For those of who don't know Ruby, she is my little photography assistant, she accompanies me patiently on many of my local shots ...standing patiently as I click away. She's also a rescue dog who came into our lives in March 2011 !!!
Here she is in her Christmas collar ...a red and white fluffy number with jingle bells attached and here I am ... in my Christmas shirt.....chosen by me (which is unusual because normally my wife or two daughter are my fashion advisor's) .
My hair looks well grey !!!! I put it down to the back light streaming in from the windows. We don't normally have a chair in the window, but it found it's way there to make room for the Christmas tree.
My daughter took this pic and was trying to make Ruby alert by talking to her ...I think it worked as her ears and eyes are very alert.
3 good things today (while walking Ruby)
1. Children out and about 'early doors', riding their new bikes and scooters
2. A man walking down Coppice Road carrying two chairs !!!
3. A family walking up Coppice Road, the wife pushing the pram and the husband carrying a 4 foot triangle shaped present (all wrapped up) over his shoulder......."That's the biggest Toblerone I've ever seen I told him"....it made him laugh :)
I'll add a 4th saying it's Christmas.......Paul O'Grady at Battersea Dogs Home on ITV1 tonight :) ...Some lovely Dogs.....
Phil, your text is truly heart-warming, you have such a great zest for life and its infectious! Lovely, lovely shot and a very happy Christmas to you, your wife and family and of course Ruby!!
Happy Christmas Phil!! Looks like we've all roped in our daughters! Ruby looks resplendent. You can buy very big Toblerones! Thanks for reminding me about the DOgs Home - there's a Christmas programme left that I haven't already cried through!
@steveh thanks Steve, yes a good day......this shot is a bit similar to the one you did with Oscar...:) :)...although I had sort of planned this shot when my wife mentioned that Ruby was getting a festive gift that she could wear :)
lol Have just found this!! Ah well better late than never!! Love your comments...the guy with the 2 chairs...............as Peter Kaye would say 'emergency chairs'! lol Hope you've had a good break, and a happy 2013. btw in a past life I had a dog from Battersea. Kept me happy for 12 years..........
