They do some strange things in Arnold ...keep fit in the snow
Rubys morning walk was a bit different today. Rather than going to St. Mary's park we diverted the walk to Arnot Hill Park (the 'Duck Park'), to get a few 'snow pictures'.
I wasn't expecting this shot though.
A group of people exercising in the snow outside the old civic council house building !
I don't know who these people are, the 'leader' shouting instructions had a 'Eastern European' English accent ...possibly Polish.
I suppose it was a bit of a surreal scene, a man with a skinny whippet by his side on a lead, taking pictures of people doing push ups / press ups in the snow. Some of the people laughed because I was taking a picture ...I waved back and smiled ...very surreal ...the temperature was just below or just about 0c when I shot this
Oh I bet your heart sang seeing this wonderful photo op!!!!! Perhaps the ideas of China are coming to Arnold!!! What did Ruby make of that i wonder!!!!!!
What a great photo, I love this shot! They might be doing 'military training' exercises, my friend goes to sessions on the beach where the trainer shouts at them while they do sit ups and run up hills with sandbags etc. She claims its good fun but I prefer a leisurly dog walk with a camera any day!
LOL this is a great capture Phil. I'm glad to see they are fully tracksuited...I came across several runners in just shorts and t-shirts this afternoon and it was minus 3! madness! I whimped out and went to the gym, warmer in there!
@jenrobcarr thanks jennifer , it was a strange shot to get
