Newark Egg Packers Ltd

The 'Newark Egg Packers Ltd' wharf on the River Trent at .....yes ...at Newark On Trent

I waited for the two swans to come into the frame ...they took ages to get there.

If the motor vehicles were not in the frame I'd have been tempted to go sepia for an 'old timeless look'.

Pity the sky is a tad bland, but I think the image still works.

Yes I agree about the sky - we did a bit about bland skies on our course. Not sure I can offer any tips though. I like how the building is so nicely reflected.

Beautiful shot, Phil, bringing back memories of happy years when Ilived in Newark, before I escaped to work in the great metropolis. Still not entirely sure it was the right move.

@busylady thanks judith, some people "edit nice skies" into shots, but I cannot do that......and it is cheating !!!

@wordpixman thanks arthur. I used to work in Newark, so I always like going to the town for a weekend morning stroll

Cars are always in the wrong place!!! Don't see many egg packing stations now but I suppose there must be. Well worth waiting for the swans Phil! We used to drop our eggs on trays at the egg packers & we hadn't to wash them, just use wire wool to clean them with!!

I used to work at Newark Egg Packers in 1964 just before it was relocated to Northgate.
