Spring Colours at Last !!!

About Time too

We have some Spring colours in our garden.

These are some crocuses that grow around the edge of an old cherry tree stump.

After I'd cut the grass and cleaned pond, I noticed the sun was back lighting these crocuses rather nicely.

I lay on the floor to shoot this, much to the dismay of my wife..."what on earth are you doing?" she shouted..."photographing some crocuses" ...I replied..."why?" was her response..."because the light is nice"...."it's time to take Ruby a walk" she said !

When I showed Jane the picture on the back of the camera, she did think it was worth the 'lie down' :)

Way behind on posting ..... but that is fairly common for me !

Beautiful

Ah Phil - we are just misunderstood. Though I was laughing at somebody who said an ambulance screeched to a halt when she adopted the lie down approach in public! Definitely worth it here.

Crocuses are such a lovely way to welcome Spring. I really like the purple and the shadows against the softened background.

Beautiful light and focus, and yes, definitely worth the lie down!

I agree well worth lying on the ground, amazing how the sun lights up the petals, it gives them a different luminous beauty.

Fabulous light Phil and I'm so pleased you lay down to capture it

Phil the light shining through the crocus is gorgeous.
My husband pretty much ignores that now - the neighbors just think I'm daft. I asked the new ones if they minded if I photographed the garden they inherited with the house and they said go for it.
