Garden Bluebells ...or Garden Bluebelles ...I always think bluebell should end in 'belle' rather than 'bell' because, well because they are belle
These bluebelles live in our garden ......where's the garden I hear you ask..well I put some grey card behind them to make them appear in isolation.
Shot with my 50mm lens, sharpened a tiny tad, and saturated a tiny tad.....I did think about adding a 'fancy dan' filter in GIMP to try and create an artistic watercolour or oil effect....then I thought they were good enough to have a place without any 'fancy dan' filters
Sunday was a beautiful day, warm sunshine from morning until about 7 pm. We 'did' our garden in the morning , ate Sunday Lunch 'el fresco' on our patio and then went to help my youngest daughter 'do' her garden.
great bluebelle shot Phil! these look great, I have some in my garden but I missed getting a shot of them and they are past their best now. great idea to use the grey - works really well, and the light is perfect - no shadows...great job
Very nice blue colour which is hard to capture on a bluebell...
are they british or spanish bluebells ? The Spanish ones are being removed by the forestry commison to save the british bluebell woods , up and down the country.. a little information for you Phil if your interested (o; nice shot
haha! funny about the fancy dan filters :) and you are right, they look painterly already. you isolated them well; the gray card really works! nice idea and beautiful belles :)
