The Hobbucks is an area of Arnold that benefits from significant native flora, hedgerows, wild flower meadows, scrubland, grassland, veteran trees and plantation woodland, which are a valuable habitat for the sites vertebrae, species of bird and small mammals. The site is accessible by a network of paths (words pinched from Gedling Borough Council)
The Hobbucks is on top of a big hill (almost the highest point in Nottinghamshire). From the top of the hill you can look southwards across to the city of Nottingham and beyond.
If you view large you can see Arnold Asda, The high rise flats of Hyson Green (4 miles away) and the Radcliffe on Soar Power Station Cooling Towers (18 miles away)

That's it really........The view from the Hobbucks
A very interesting view Phil..gives you a good idea of the lay out around Arnold. Plenty of green trees & nature there too. I rather like the uniformity of the gabled houses. Nice bit of moorland beyond....are you on school holidays?
