Green White and Black

I like the light in this shot.

The black background is the shade of some conifer trees in our garden.

I'm not good at 'id' ing plants...this one was a cutting from one of Jane's friends and it is a nice late summer flower-er

I faffed around with RAW processing on this. However the 20 or 30 shots I did in our garden, really ate away at my SD card !

White flowers need a dark background to bring them out. Your focus is excellent and its a lovely picture!

I think this is phlox. It comes in many lovely shades. I like the slant of these plants.

I've never looked at my SD card after I have taken any RAW shots Phil. I took about 90 odd the other night in Blackpool, downloaded them, picked out the ones I wanted & then as usual cleared my SD card ready for the next lot. I am still shooting in RAW & noticing the difference I must admit.
I don't know what your flower is called but it looks very beautiful with the dark back ground. There is lovely light there picking up the leaves & beautiful clarity....I just see Alisons reply & think she is right...a phlox.

Love the contrast and yes the light is beautiful. I think it may be phlox too.

Lovely Phil, the light just touching the petals is beautiful & love the dark background. I clear my SD card every night also, I take soooo many shots (RAW). Enjoy the weekend.
