The Robin Hood Pub in Arnold, up for sale and empty. Ground floor windows covered with steel barriers / shutters, no pints to pull, no wine to serve, no customers to sample the fayre !

I've lived in Arnold since 1984 and probably only ever been in this public house 6 times. That makes it about once every 5 years.

The ongoing recession hits hard and the pub trade has suffered.

Indeed a sign of the times...the village pub in our old village stands empty & forlorn..nowhere for the villagers to meet, such a shame. A topical name couldn't even save it!
