Street Parking

I park on this street when I'm at work

The LRC ..."little red car" is not mine ...I'm a few cars up the road.

Any employer / company within the city of Nottingham boundary must pay a 'work place parking levy' if they provide car parking for their employees. This charge is to pay for the Nottingham Tram.

Some employers pass this charge onto their employees via a payroll deduction.

I park on the street to avoid the levy / charge and walk 5 minutes into work !

What's that you have to pay the Notts council to park at your workplace .... That must have a knock on effect on any business wishing to set up in Nottingham ...Get back to Bolton phil , that's criminal .. Nice peep into your world though

@steveh you are right Steve.... We have to pay Nottingham City Council to park on site...it's means tested...the more you earn the more you pay

So if you park on the street your company exempts you? I would think they would just charge everyone and not have to keep track.

@allie912 Allison, it's a significant deduction over the course of 12 months....some companies don't charge, they just absorb the cost from the council....As I work for the city council, it's a mandatory charge for parking on site !
