One of the many impressive buildings in Basford, Nottingham
Shot on my mobile phone on my lunchtime walk.
It's not a 'maltings' any more. It now houses (no pun intended) student flats / accommodation for Nottingham Trent University. They have there own special bus to take them to the uni' city centre campus. Mind you as you all know, there is a tram stop just down the road :)
There's two birds in the shot...one flying and one perched near the apex of the roof.
Perched...nice word don't you think....reminds me too of the classic joke....

Ha ha.....you are a joker tonight !!! i would think this building makes great uni flats ...rather unusual dormer bits on the roof....wouldn't have thought those were original!!
Oh yes, like your joke. Nice place for student flats and I like your pov with the dramatic sky above. Maybe a good one for B&W. I appreciate your suggestions to do some of mine in B&W but I just can't seem to get into b&w somehow. I did a month of it last February and quite enjoyed it, but haven't done it again since.
Glad they've made it into accommodation and not knocked it down. Looks very funky as well - 'loft living' although it's a very wide building - I have visions of rooms without windows!
