Eight Wet Feet

On Tuesday, we went to the Anderby Creek on East Coast for the day.

Anderby Creek is a little hamlet with nothing there other than a lot of beach, sand dunes and the chilly North Sea

It was a nice day, we had a five mile walk (2.5 miles each way) along the beach and then a pinic in the dunes (the exact same dune where we had a picnic the last time we visited).

This shot is almost contre jour, so Claire, Jane and Ruby are almost in silhouette.

They didn't mean to get their feet wet, the incoming waves caught them unaware !

Anderby Creek is 70+ miles away from Nottingham, so it's not the easiest place to get to, but then Nottingham is 70+miles from the nearest coast !
Always a fright when the sea comes up behind you.....they look like they are having a good laugh about it! Ruby is very brave, she doesn't look frightened at all....some dogs like the sea but none of ours do! I like the contre-jour!

Cambridge has that problem - too far from the coast but otherwise it would be perfect! Maybe we should move to Norwich... Anyway - being entertained by the wet feet. @fueast had a special 'wetfeet' tag!
