This is a shot from yesterdays walk in Bestwood Country Park. I had my 70-300mm lens with me and I was planning to take candid shots of our little whippet Ruby walking through the woods.
We stumbled on some lovely bluebelles in the woods and although I had no tripod or wide angle lens I decided to have a go at photographing the carpet of colour.
I don't know if the shot actually works. Maybe the branch drooping in from the top left hand side is distracting or maybe it is directing the eye to the blue carpet.
Not many bluebelles are in focus, but do they have to be for the shot to be artistic?
Anyway, I thought it was worth sharing with you as a follow up to my garden bluebelles.
One thing learnt from 365 that it's better if some aspect of the photo is blurred....isn't that great! Something I achieve without trying many a time!!!
Pretty wide angle to me Phil....the branch hanging down I never noticed until you mentioned it, your eye is taken up by the bluebelles but now you pointed it out it is noticeable but all very natural.
@maggiemae cheets maggie, bluebelles are really difficult to get right, something about them absorbing ultra violet light that the srnsor csnnot detect
