Oil Can by phil_howcroft

Oil Can

On Thursday Evening, Arnold and District Camera Club visited Papplewick Pumping Station for our club outing

Papplewick Pumping Station is Victorian Steam Water Pumping Station.

Unfortunately the light outside was pretty grey (we had had beautiful evening light the day before) so we could not get great light streaming into the rooms for atmospheric shots through the stained glass windows, not could we get great light to capture the gardens and lake.

I still managed to get some decent shots mind you and this is an old oil can that was shot on my tripod at ISO200 for a few seconds

Everything you wanted to know about Papplewick is here

BTW : For those of you who don't know I am the secretary of Arnold and District Camera club !

BTW : Don't you think Papplewick is a great name !

Three World Cup Things:

Brasil v Chile : A classic , great drama, colour and played a such a high tempo. Chile were as good as the wine they make...excellent :)

Sublime Goal by James for Colombia

Fred was substituted for Jo in the Brasil team. Nothing like a good old fashioned centre forward name ....Bolton's Nat and Preston's Tom would be proud of those names

Genie popes out yet -? looks like aladins lamp very nice

Like an old master! Excellent shot.
I thought I had had it in the works WC draw talk about cutting it fine and I agree that Chile were very good. I have 28 quid riding on Brazil winning but I am not confident that they will do it after their performance tonight?

A pleasing study in oil and grease - love it. Interesting - that looks like a sprayer plunger on the oil can
