Autumn Graffiti

The autumn leaves on the floor and the tree trunk perform a nice but of colour combination / coordination between mother nature and urban Basford.

I've been down here before, it's a path that runs parallel to the tram line, train line and river lene and this bit is the underside of a bridge carrying the Nottingham ring road over the said lines and rivers.

Some serious post processing in GIMP / G'MIC to boost the colours and contrast to give a surreal feel.

As for the tree trunk. It's part of a diseased elm tree (I think it's an elm) that has been felled by Nottingham City Transport (the tram operator)
Interesting shot and descriptive commentary, Phil. Nicely processed too.

Quite nice coordinating colour....this looks a very interesting place.....graffiti is usually rather threatening but don't feel that here.

Oh dear what a shame! It looks proper unloved. Love your processing though and the bright colours really must cheer up the area.

A very interesting shot Phil with the bright colors and the tree stump against the texture of the brick. Those graffiti artists definitely help us, don't they?

Are you safe down there Phil? That window would merit a close up in its own right.

@willowdragon thanks Al, it was done with your 'fave' bit of editing software (not) ...GIMP :)

@judithg I am a bit wary going down there Judith and pick my moments, although it backs on to a church too and there is usually somebody pottering around in the church grounds to keep an eye on passers by :)
