Little People In The Market Square

We went inyo Nottingham today, for a bit of shopping (M&S Meal Deal, trendy £9-00 jumper for me from New Look) and a tapas lunch at La Tasca.

While Jane was browsing ladies fashion items, I took an opportunity to do a few streetie's with my 50mm on my 450D

This is the Nottingham City Council House in Slab Square, with some Lowry'esque people walking in front of it.

Post processed in GIMP, G'MIC film emulation of kodachrome 64, some contrast adjustments and a straighten and crop

Very retro'esque don't you think

Tempted to do a mono, but the colours in the clothes of the 'walkers' made me keep it colour

This place made me think of a town in somewhere like Paris or similar Phil. Quite a Continental feel to it, the windows & arches I think! Glad you kept this in colour....would be good in b/w but nice to see that little bit of red. A very interesting building!

Wonderful love the colours of the shoppers against the monochrome backdrop of monumental architecture with the crowning glory of the lights catching the light - a master stroke!
