As of 29 Jan 2015, I've been on 365 for FOUR years
First Year a picture a day, now maybe 4 or 5 a week
In year four I decided to move out of my comfort zone and try my hand at doing 50 mono portraits with my 50mm lens.
So to mark the end of year four, I'm posting 4 portraits. I thought I'd do them in colour. You've seen all the people before, but 3 of the shots did not make it to the mono conversion.
I've looked at my very first picture and three of the people who commented on it are good 365 friends and still maintaining a 100% posting rate on 365
Congratulations Phil........you are five days ahead of me! Glad you are still here ........good to see the old faces still plodding on! I have enjoyed all your photos over the years specially Ruby ones & your Nottingham & surrounding areas. Portraits have come on so well too......you need some guts for that ! Onwards for year five!
Just popped in to say Happy Birthday, Phil, well done! I'm a very late arrival at the party but I have been enjoying following your project very much and will continue to look in and comment when I'm around. All the very best. :-)
Fab montage and portraits - love the assortment of expressions.
Well, four years is a long time and I applaud your perseverance! I enjoy your wit and your photos. Portraits are not always about good looking people - more about character as in these ones!
Congrats Phil!!! I know I have enjoyed taking this journey with you for ..not sure how long... a year? Your friendship and inspiration are cherished. These guys are reallllllly great characters! WOW .. they looks characters in a movie or someone imagined in a good book. Excellent!!! FAV...Nice way to end and begin again!!
Congratulations on reaching the end of your 4th year. I will be doing that in a few days. I'm in love with your portrait shots both in b&w and in colour. Beautiful collage. Love those faces.
Congrats Phil!! I'll tell you what - Year 5 has been pretty taxing so far....wishing you some good photo ops! I love these portraits & especially number 3 is amazing. You couldn't remove that lovely colouring from number 4 - lucky boy!
@judithg many thanks judith, , number 3 was my first "ask a stranger" picture, number 4 is Ádám Bogdán, the Bolton Wanderers Hungarian Goalkeeper , who would have been appearing on BBC1 Match of the Day Live this Wednesday, until he turned his ankle in training on Thursday !!
@eyesmile thanks gena, it is good to have you as a friend and see your world over in the US through your lens ...and of course your impressive 'camper van' (as we call them in the UK)
Three good 365 friends and all maintain a 100% posting rate (never miss a day) on their own 365 :)
Thanks for the kind words. I enjoy following you. :)
