this is a derelict building in Basford, Nottingham, near to where I work.
I think it was a public convenience, although it is probably many a year since anyone ever spent a penny there.
It looks quite surreal all red brickwork and green boards. There is a new style telephone box on the left hand side of the frame and it is probably a long time since anyone made a call from it
The gentleman in his motability scooter is a finishing touch to this urban bit of Nottingham
I did think of making this mono but the bold greens, blues and brick colours makes for an interesting scene
Glad you kept it in color...and the bluish pipe is a great color also. Great textures. Is the sign on the phone box? WHY would they take out those iconic red booths? I love those!! Good street shot with lots of interest Phil.
Just look at that old blue pipework.....you don't get that these days! Such a pity they keep closing down these old toilet blocks.....always useful! lol! Did you wait until the mobility guy came by or a happy accident....pardon the pun!
I think a very well maintained piece of abandoned urban building. I wonder how long it will be before its replaced by something that will earn a bit more than a penny! The wheelchair is a classic touch!
Wonderful addition of the gentleman on his scooter and the yellow sign calling out about legal trouble. Great colors of sky and brick. I think I'm going to have to give this a fav!
@sangwann i do wonder about telephone boxes and the viability if them
