On Saturday it was the final home game of the season for Bolton Wanderers.
A season to be remembered for all the wrong reasons. Relegated to the third tier of English Football. On the brink of being wound up by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs for none payment of Tax and NI, poor performances on the pitch, no away wins, I could go on and on.
After the final whistle of the final home game (which we beat Hull City 1-0) the supporters stayed behind to applaud the player and say goodbye !
Many of the players, especially the older experienced ones have been bad (and that is being polite) and didn't deserve the applause from the supporters. Maybe the applause was aimed at the young players who have been a glimmer of light in this appalling season. Fastracked from the under 21's and development team.
Anyway this is a shot of some of the supporters in the East Stand Lower.

We lost our final game of the season yesterday (away at Fulham), that meant we did not win ANY games away from home, NIL NONE ZERO ! Roll on August when life in the third tier begins.
But you stuck with them through the lows and the....lows! Maybe one day...love the expressions in the crowd. This one guy at least found something to laugh about!
And I thought it was bad when Stoke lost England's Jack Butland and have had to use their second keeper who has been so bad we've been campaigning for no one between the sticks to give us a fighting chance!
