Wayne Manor in Mono by phil_howcroft

Wayne Manor in Mono

It might be Wayne Manor to Batman, but it is Wollaton Hall to the people of Nottingham

This is Wollaton Hall in Nottingham, sitting proudly in one of Nottingham's many municipal parks

Edited in Darktable and converging verticals corrected.

Shot earlier this month on a weekend afternoon walk
Nice mono shot Phil

Really like that you caught that person in the foreground...really gives scale and even a sense of movement against the staid and steady of the building.

Absolutely awe-inspiring architecture. Is this open to the public I wonder. It has a kind of derelict feel to me.

A wonderful building with beautiful architecture, Phil. Looks like the 'white' trail that crosses the picture from left to right has been left by that little girl (just like trails left by airplanes in flight, if you get what I mean)

Great shot - yes I know it as Wollaton Hall. I did my teacher trying many moons ago at Nottingham University and that is what it was called then
