Luisa is the second stranger who has asked me to photograph them. Let me explain ....
I have kept in touch with stranger 58, Holly, who I photographed at the Christmas Steampunk Market in Sneinton, Nottingham.
Holly started a new business venture today, a pop up tea / cafe stall at Sneinton market, selling cups of speciality teas.
As I was taking some pictures of Holly and her market stall, Luisa, who was on the next stall smiled and nodded at me and then asked if I would take some pictures of her stall too.
It was a great opportunity to get a great stranger picture.
Luisa had a chocolate stall, selling home made chocolates "Paleo / Gluten Free / Vegan / made with unrefined sugar cane". Guilt Free chocolates explained Luisa enthusiastically.
Luisa was very proud of her chocolates, explaining that chocolate was actually quite healthy, with many health benefits including making one relax and reduce stress.
Luisa originates from London and came to Nottingham to study textiles and like many people who come to live in Nottingham, she never left :)
I was a little worried about Luisa's hat casting shadows on her face, but I pointed her towards the direction of the hazy sun and the net result as you can see is a striking portrait.
Luisa struck up some excellent poses without any direction from me. She seemed very relaxed in front of the camera.
I have a mono version of this shot, but decided to post in colour as I like the young leaves in the trees as they make a nice backdrop almost a vignette to Luisa's portrait.
Luisa thought it might be a good idea if I sent some pictures of the market (which was a Vegan Market btw) to the local press. I did take quite a few pics ! Luisa said she would contact the press if I send her some of my pics.
Luisa gave me one of her chocolates, which I gave to my wife as it was gluten free.
We exchanged contact cards and I shook Luis's hand and thanked her for her time.
I hope you the viewer like this shot and I hope Luisa likes the images i emailed her.
