A posh shopping arcade within the confides of the City Council House
Edited in Rawtherapee, bringing out the shadows and highlights with a bit of tone mapping, local contrast and finally a fancy film emulation too. Not too sure what I'm talking about ? I don't think I was too sure when I was editing either :)
I like that shopping lady who gives scale to the photo and looks like a woman on a mission. (Re processing I have had a few tries at Gimp but it might as well be a foreign language. I can do what processing I want to do on FastStone so I shall keep Gimp in reserve for a 'rainy day'!)
Lovely shot and composition, Phil. You put a smile on my face with your story. I use Photoshop and Picasa for my editing and when I'm finished I never remember what I did on the picture.
Hmm, looks very quiet there. A sign of the times, or typical of the time of day? Interesting street capture. I like how the angle brings out that lovely archway.
