My daughter Claire nipped round to see us this afternoon to drop some items off in readiness for her wedding next month. I asked her if she would pose for me so I could test one of my vintage lenses
This is my first picture here using my Pentacon Auto 1.8/50 Multi Coating vintage lens.
Pentacon 50mm lenses tended to be attached to Praktika Cameras during the 1970s
I bought the lens from a charity shop in December. I was a bit hesitant to use it as I read a couple of indifferent reviews about it. I did a bit more research and started finding some cracking images shot with the said lens.
So I tried it out today, attached to my Sony A6000. I really like the results, it creates some lovely rich retro colours that you don't tend to get in modern lenses and at f4 this is pin sharp
When I saw this pretty face at the top of my 365 page, I said, “That’s Phil’s beautiful daughter!” So exciting that her wedding is just around the corner. I’m sure you won’t be the official photographer, but I have the feeling you will have the Sony 6000 close by!
@allie912 Allison , thanks for your lovely comment . I am the official photographer (with some help from my brother and my next door neighbour) and father of the bride :)
Seems you have a good team of wedding photographers!
