We went to the Vaisakhi Celebrations and Nagar Kirtan Procession in Nottingham on Sunday. A great event to photograph with a real feel good factor of inclusion and diversity in the great city of Nottingham. The procession made its way from the Forest recreation ground to the city centre, where there was a set of stalls and events celebrating the day.
One stall was promoting a you tube Channel - Basics of sikhi

In charge of the stall was Babban, who quickly agreed to be one of my strangers once I'd told him about the project.
Babban had travelled up from London to promote the you tube channel on his stall. I asked Babban what he did in London for his job and he told me he worked full time for the organisation.
I said the event was well organised. He told me the procession would be arriving in the market square in a few minutes, I told him I'd folllowed it from it's start point and had just left it to get some pics in the square before the crowds arrived.
I shot a few images inside Babban's yellow gazebo, but the yellows of the canopy shed too much yellow light of Babban , so I asked him to step outside of the gazebo for a few moments.
I asked Baban if I could post the image online and he asked me where it would be going, When I said flickr he was happy for me to do so.
Thanks for being stranger 164 Babban, I hope you had a great day in Nottingham.
