It was Cosplay at the Nottingham Arena today. Always a good event for street photography.
I've been down to Cosplay a few times now , since stumbling on it in 2016.
This years event didn't seem as busy as previous years.
This is Chenise , who was playing X-Men character Storm.
I saw Chenise having her photo taken with alongside a Jurassic Park 4 x 4 vehicle.
Chenise was the other side of some barriers i.e. a paying customer to the event, I was just loitering outside for photo opportunities. I shouted across to Chenise and asked her for a photo,
She's stood under a canopy here so it's not the best backdrop , although she ls stood in front of a big X, so you could say the backdrop is perfect for an X-Men character.
I couldn't add Chenise to my 100 strangers project as I didn't get a back story, ! She does however make a great portrait for my photo stream.
@granagringa Madeline, I had to include all her white hair , which by default made it a waist up shot :)
@caterina thakns for the fave Caterina, I didn;t get the opportunity to get a back dtory or mention the 100 strangers project , therefore I just posted as is (with permission of course) .
The tones are spot on, Phil. No mean feat with such strong tonal contrasts. Chenise looks as if she is well into her role play - every bit the strong, powerful character that I guess Storm is.
