Carnival Colours

Two weeks ago we were at Leicester Carribbean Carnival , today It was Nottingham Carnival. It's a great street event full of vibrant colours, loud music and happy people.

The young lady at the front of the frame was last years Carnival Queen. She is great to photograph , always smiling and making eye contact with the photographer.

I think I've photographed her at every Carnival I've attended.

I hope I've managed to capture the mood of the carnival with my photo,

Beautiful carnival shot. I wasn't aware that carnivals are organised also in Britain. Love the bright costumes and the happy mood of the shot.

How they pace the streets in those heels is beyond me. Everyone does seem to be enjoying the carnival fun - so well captured shot.

I'm sure Nottingham never had carnivals when I lived there! There are no pics like this in my old albums! We were obviously a miserable bunch! Must be the influx of people like yourself that have added some colour and cheer to the place! :-)

Don’t they put their heart & soul into these carnivals...we dont seem to have them round our way at all. Love the skirt up & the undergarments! !
