Wollaton Hall also known as Wayne Manor

This is Wollaton Hall, shot on an afternoon walk last week.

It is a beautiful building and sits as a centre piece in the beautiful municipal park in Wollaton, Nottingham.

The hall is also known as as Wayne Manor as it was used for the filming of the Batman movie Dark Knight Rises.

I straightened some converging verticals . Can you tell ?

I have not seen all the Batman movies. Was this one set in England or was it just chosen for the atmosphere? This is a beautiful building, but I feel it is slightly crooked, with the left side higher.

@allie912 it was chosen for the atmosphere, you are right , my straightening probably needs a bit more technique !

Holy Architecture Batman! what a beautiful building. I too struggle with that straightening stuff. glad I don't come across it often. I'm sure with some investigation and practice you'd get it perfect!

Ha ha, I thought it looked familiar!
How do you straighten converging verticals? That perennial pain in the dooberry wotsit......

I know that you're a GIMP afficionado Phil, but for @casablanca if you use Lightroom or PhotoShop it's auto option (Lightroom transform/auto and PS camera RAW geometry/auto), both allow manual control.

@ellida Alas, I do not have anything Photoshop at all. Just the basic editing that comes on a Mac desktop or iPad. I do have Affinity, but I don't understand 99% of it! Thanks for responding though, I really appreciate it.
