Sunday afternoon allowed us a last chance of a tier 3 family lockdown walk. under tier 3 we can meet using the "rule of 6" in a public space (not in a family garden)
So this Sunday afternoon we went to Arnot Hill Park (the Duck Park) for a family walk with our daughters, their husbands and our first grandchild, baby Willow, who was born on Thursday morning
From left to right ... Ruby (our whippet , exempt from "the rule of 6"), Matt (son in law), Matt (son in law and father of Willow), baby Willow in her pram, Jane (wife, pushing the pram), Claire (daughter and mum of Willow), Kirsty (daughter)
On Thursday we go into Lockdown for 28 days. The government don't want to call it lockdown, some say "circuit breaker", the government say "stricter nationwide restrictions". Whatever you call it, it has probably been introduced far too late
I was hoping you would all take the chance if a meet up....far too long to see your new grandchild for the first time if you had left it....had to be done...I know I would have broken a rule to do that just the once! It’s a really lovely picture....all looking well too!
Our new great granddaughter is sadly still in hospital in NZ ...she has had problems breathing but improving.
Nice to spend time with family and it's a beautiful family capture. I can stand outside my mom's window at the PT center and talk to her on the phone, but that's it. These are emotionally hard times for all of us. Praying for better days to come.
Cute family portrait , great to be able to be together before the second lockdown
One of my daughter is in London (Westminster university) since last September and she just booked her flight for Christmas...I hope the airport won’t closed... sad times ...
So glad you grabbed the opportunity to meet up with the family and your precious granddaughter ( I love the name Willow !) and spent time with them before this second lockdown . This one is certainly for the family album !
Good for you and your family! So beautiful, Phil. We are close to another restriction of activities, although there are many voices against it, especially for economic reasons. I’m afraid there is no choice
@kiwichick thank you lesley, it did rain quite heavy in parts, a chance for Matt and Claire to try out the pram "rain protector" :)
