These are two Nottinghamshire Police Officers on duty on the bridge over the A6009.
The bridge connects both Mansfield Railway Station and Mansfield Town Centre to Field Mill, the home of Mansfield Town Football Club. It was matchday on Saturday and the officers were monitoring both the football fans and public walking to the ground.
I asked them to pose, looking into the sun towards the football ground. I think it works just fine as a photo, especially as it was shot with my Sony Xperia mobile phone (straight out of camera too)
The good old British Bobbies, ever willing to oblige.Always a higher police presence on match day here in Lincoln too. I don’t envy them their job these days.

@carole_sandford I've done Lincoln on matchday back in January 2020 watching Bolton. I've not done any away days since lockdown restrictions were eased as the away end is always too busy watching Bolton. Too many idiots too . "Home fixtures" are ok as I can choose a seat away from people
