The building in the background is the "Council House"
The big wheel was erected by Daniel and Jay , strangers 285 in my third round of 100 strangers.
The Galloping Horses Roundabout is a beautiful retro fairground ride and in this shot is bathed in beautiful light
This was shot last Monday and it was very quiet. Apparently the market becomes very busy at the weekend. Whether it will remain open right up to Christmas, is probably open to debate as the new Omnicom variant of Covid has been identified in the city.
Great traditional galloping horses! Did Goose Fair happen this year?
Haven’t visited Nottingham city centre for some time, but I used to when I was younger. Used to go from my home town of Loughborough, on the South Notts buses.
@carole_sandford Carole, no goose fair this year or last year. quite sad, but the fair gets really busy. South Notts buses are now part of Nottingham City Transport
Such a pretty and joyous scene with the merry-go-round so colourful and inviting ! So sad if it all comes to an end before Christmas due to this new variant threatening us now !
Happy times coming, hopefully. Just yesterday, outside Valletta a wheel like that has been set up for the season. My worries are that Covid19 will again explode during the Christmas period. Enjoy but stay safe, my friend.
@cocobella merci corinne, it is a beautiful carousel

@carole_sandford @phil_howcroft South Notts are no more sadly..... The no 1 bus that comes through is no longer in south notts colours but in generic notts city transport bus. Its very sad to see the garage all shut up.
