This is September 1983, Agios Nikolaos on the island of Crete.
I didn't realise that I did a few street photographs back in the day, but here you have it, a Greek Grandmother with her grandchild (not too sure if it is a little girl or boy, I think girl) on a back street in the town.
The child will be in her 40's now, scary isn't it?
When I saw the photo, I remember that I pointed my camera at the lady and gestured if it was OK to take a photo.
A great piece of street photography! I think the child is a girl too. My initial reaction on seeing this was “ oh, Cyprus”! It could easily be a Cyprus village scene, also we used to live in a place called Agioa Nikolaos, how spooky is that?
So interesting, Phil, to see where our photography has taken us and how it has developed. After my op I did similar and found it enlightening to dig into my files.
