Brass at The Arboretum

Nottingham Arboretum and Nottingham City Council hosted a Christmas / Winter brass band concert at the beautiful Victorian bandstand.

A free concert, well attended on a winter Sunday afternoon.

This is one of the Hucknall & Linby Mining Community Brass Band cornet players, captured in some rather lovely low afternoon sun (I think it is a cornet).

Looks like fun

A wonderful afternoon then…it must have sounded brilliant, you can’t beat a brass band for lifting the spirit! Glad the bandstand seems to have sides, must have been rather cold in the hands. Love the light & concentration here. Fave.
