The Thurland Hall pub, in Nottingham, was built between 1898 and 1900 for Ezekiel Levy and Henry Franks, licensed victuallers from London to the designs of local architect Gilbert Smith Doughty.
It's an old boozer and it's modern day clientele seem to be mature hardened city centre drinkers.
Groups of men are often seen leaning on the barriers, smoking and drinking (there's a photo or two to be had there)
Cracking shot. Not many of these left now as boozers. My home town of Burton on Trent as the Beer brewing town that it is, had loads of these types of establishments, but now practically all of them are either Coffee shops or Hairdressers, which is great, if that's what you want. But you have to settle for a Weatherspoon's pub now for your lunchtime snifter Ha Ha :)

Thanks everyone for your positive words and helping the photo get on the PP. Laura / Peter , as of today we have to wear masks in enclosed spaces , but pubs and restaurants are exempt from this rule. As of tomorrow, according to our government, COVID has finished, we have no restrictions, we don't need to wear masks, everything is back to "normal" . Our government are fools and our prime minister lies just about every time he opens his mouth !!!
