Allium in Mono : Jupiter 9 Vintage Lens by phil_howcroft

Allium in Mono : Jupiter 9 Vintage Lens

This is a lone white Allium from our garden, a late flowerer (We've cut back the purple one's now)

Shot with my beautiful vintage Russian Jupiter 9 lens . 85mm wide open aperture

It was white against the green grass of our lawn, I thought it might work in mono.
Beautiful details!

Love the detail here Phil. I leave the alliums in situ as the seed heads look like mini fireworks especially in winter. Where/when did you acquire your vintage lens? fav

@stowgarden thanks Cherrill, once things have flowered in our garden they are dead headed and gone. I've been collecting vintage lenses for more than 5 years, I am a regular visitor to charity shops and this is where I find most of my many lenses. This is quite rare and much sought after and came via eBay (my only ever purchase from eBay)
