We went to the Hockley Hustle on Sunday. A charity event in Hockley , Nottingham (my fave area of the city). 40 venues, 400 acts and 6 charities all for the price of a wristband.
This is the Gang of Angels, a choir of lethally luminescent voices dipped in soul.
We saw them at Jam Cafe a small venue in the heart of Hockley. They were brilliant, led by Honey , they brought the house down. A few covers, some songs written by Honey and a fabulous rendition of Ghost Town by the Specials. I took some photos of the choir singing, it was difficult in the small packed out venue, but I got some cracking photos.
After the show we left for another venue, but as we left I noticed some of the choir members were sat outside the venue relaxing after the performance. I went up to them and thanked them for the amazing performance.
Honey noticed my camera and asked me if I had a few minutes to take a group photo of them "that's a nice camera, you look like you know what you are doing, could you take a group photo of us:"
I didn't need asking twice....cracking photo isn't it (there's a couple of choir members missing from the group)
