My Garden August 2019

Continuing my ongoing project, another shot of my back garden, one month on from the last one.

Carole has suggested that this view is not the most ‘flattering’ to the garden and omits a lot of the plants that we have in the border; I’m not so sure, but for year 4 I’ll give another angle a go. For this last ‘My Garden’ of Year 3, it’s from the same position and clearly shows the enlargement of the border and the Echinecea that I’ve imported. I hope that they survive the coming winter and bloom nexgt year. The lawn is still patchy and needs work, that's an ongoing project .......

There is a lot more colour this month anyway with many of the Dahlia and Agapanthus and the Lavender all of which are either in bloom, or just finished; the Aster Daisies did very little and will probably be lifted and binned in the Autumn. The Lupins, Delphiniums and Hollyhocks are done for the year and are now just sticks. I’ve decided that this year I’m going to lift the Dahlias and store them in the garage over winter; if they survive, I’ll be able to put them where I want them for next year.

Thank you for your continued interest in my garden/yard. All of the previous photographs are tagged philsgarden and if you wish to see it change through the months (obviously only if you feel that way inclined and have nothing better to do) then click on that tag.
A nice view of the garden Phil - the enlarged flower bed has really improved things and created an interest spot !

Next year you can do the series from the other perspective then. I think you have a beautiful garden.
