I have wanted a flagpole, a proper flagpole, in my garden for years. The lockdown has presented me with an opportunity to get on and erect it. Carole is happy with where I’ve put it and more happy that I Have promised I won’t be performing daily Sun-up or sun-down ceremonies (I was in the Army, the flag went up in the morning if you’d remembered to take it down the night before).
Hardest part was digging the 48” hole for the ‘sleeve’ and then figuring out how to connect the clips to the halyard rope. The flags of the United Kingdom and of England now fly above my little piece of Lincolnshire.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
We have a flagpole in our front yard, it has a solar light on top that lights the flag at night so we don’t have to remove it at night. Jerry is retired military like you, and quite a fanatic about our American flag. Your pole and flags look wonderful.
