...... but I like it.
Last night I should have been in Nottingham at the first concert of the UK leg of the "Last of the Electrics" tour by, who I consider to be the greatest rock & roll boogie band the world has ever seen, the magnificent Status Quo.
Events however, conspired against me.
During the day I attended a funeral in Norwich of a very dear lady, who with her family, welcomed me with open arms when I lived in the city (1979-1981) and who welcomed me back into her home on frequent occasions during my Army career. I will never forget that hospitality and as such I could simply not attend and pay my final respects to her and her family.
Secondly, my daughter decided that yesterday she was going to present me with my first Grandson, Conor-James, who you will have seen photographs of if you follow my wife,
@carole_sandford on here. I decided that yesterday evening, when I got back to Lincoln, I would go and meet Connor-James (or CJ as I'm calling him)
Which meant that Quo took a back seat. That said, it's only Francis Rossi remaining from the 70s & 80s lineup, after Rick Parfiltt's near fatal heart attack in Turkey back in June and I will remember the 'Frantic Four' reuinion concerts of 2013 and 2014 and the concerts I went to in the 70s & 80s for ever.
The photograph is of the concert ticket (not used) and minature versions of the green (Rossi's) and white (Parfitt's) Telecasters that normally reside in my study. Carole bought them for me one Christmas; she doesn't much care for Quo, so they mean quite a bit to me.
If you have no idea whatsoever of who on earth Status Quo are, read more at the following link (if you wish)

I've never heard of Status Quo, but the photograph has a good composition and interesting story to go along with it.
