It's that time of year, when the Daffodils are out, and trees that were budding begin to burst out with flower.
Our Magnolia, that I dug up from our last house and transferred to our new house 12 years ago in the boot of my car, planted in the front garden and then a month or so later, I dug it up and moved it to the back garden, continues to thrive (somehow, despite me I think)
I've trimmed many of the lower branches (they made good runs for the squirrels to launch themselves at the bird feeder) and the tree is now of a good shape and continues to grow and provide gorgeous flowers in April and May.
The lawn is begining to be covered in the 'furry sheaths' that the tree protects its flowers with, singalling that it won't be long until it is in full bloom
