Budding Leaves by phil_sandford

Budding Leaves

We have two Norwegian Varigated Maples (or as my Aunt Jo would have known, Acer Platanoides (she'd have known the latin name also)) in our garden; for reasons we don't know, the one on the right always blossoms a few weeks before the one on the left.

We noticed this weekend that it had begun to burst out with the new leaves for the year, such a lovely shade of green, I thought I should share it with you.

Have I ever mentioned that I love this time of year?

Also my favourite time of year. Waiting for the awakening plants is so exciting.

I like these. We have the ordinary sycamores and maples around here, currently painting the place lime green.
