My Garden - June by phil_sandford

My Garden - June

Continuing on from @photobird project, another shot of my back garden, one month on from the last one.

I've changed from where the photograph is taken, far too much lawn visible from my previous standpoint; the focus is still the border.

The colour is coming; the Dahlias (last year's that I didn't lift and the new ones I bought as I thought last year's would all die) are growing and many have flower heads now. The poppies, delphiniums, foxgloves, alliums, Lupins, Valerians are all in bloom now

All of my garden photographs are now tagged philsgarden and if you wish to see it change through the months (obviously only if you feel that way inclined and have nothing better to do) click here
Just as beautiful as I knew it would be! I love seasons for this very reason. You wouldn't appreciate this beauty if you lived in Hawaii and it looked like this all year!

Nice! The joy of English gardens is how things change with the seasons. There's a lot of work gone in to that, that's why I prefer visiting gardens rather than actual gardening.

Looks totally different from February! More colour yet to come. Can't say that the view from my kitchen window is boring!

You have a really lovely garden. It is nice to have all the different types of flowers blooming at different times.

Wonderful that you found so much that will bloom in shade - my big problem. Love all the color.

Lovely garden and photo. We don't plant most of those flowers here anymore due to our recently past drought. Your photo makes me miss them.
