Fizzy Cherries by phil_sandford

Fizzy Cherries

I can imagine the conversation tomorrow when I get into work.

"Did you have a good evening Phil?"

"Yeah I did thanks; I tied two cherries together with cotton, filled a Pyrex bowl with sparkling water, sat it on a white pillowcases under the cooker hob light, floated the cherries in the water, and photographed them until I got a shot I liked."

If anybody was watching this, they'd think I'd lost the plot.

Anyway, here's the fruit (pun intended) of my labours.

Looks okay on black if you have time and inclination
I did this last year mate. It's kinda surprising how much fun of a subject it is. You've done a fab job here. And it does look very nice on black 😊😊

Looks great in black, looks good on white. I've had similar chats to myself quite a lot but hey, it's fun and productive. Beats watching the box:)

Love this! Especially as it's probably not something that you are comfortable with.

I definitely don't think you have lost the plot - it's great. I wish I was as creative! I agree - great on black and it looks a little like 2 eyes if you focus - sorry no pun intended. Just my imagination running away with me again.

@paul10 @louannwarren @lyndamcg @fbailey @carole_sandford @terryliv @ludwigsdiana @casablanca @dawnee @henrir @milaniet @happysnaps @777margo @mandygravil @susiemc Thanks everybody. I had fun dreaming this up and then trying to make it work. The bubbles from the water was obviously sticking to the cherries, making them move, not just apart, but across the bowl. Found a tin of cotton in a cupboard (left my landlady I guess) so tied them together. Was pushing them acorss the bowl with left hand, holding and shooting camera with my right when they 'sailed' across the viewfinder.

Yeah, I know, mad
