I've had days like that. Where I keep my everpresent Point-n-shoot on my hip in its case so often that I almost forget that it is there. Only when I get home do I realize that I forgot to take it out. But his is an excellent flower photo so it is not a total waste. And compiments on your relatively new profile picture. Always nice to freshen up.
You know you're a good photographer when you are apologizing for great images like this! I really like the contrasting colors, the light and how you've filled the frame with these beauties.
