Continuing on from @photobird project, taking it into year two, another shot of my back garden, one month on from the last one.
Being reunited with my EOS this morning, having forgotten to take it with me last Sunday evening, I’ve again used the wide angle and taken this from the same position as the last couple of months. This month however, I’ve taken it very early in the morning and captured the cold of a UK November morning. Frost last night, but not to worry as the last of the Dahlias were lifted last weekend.
There’s a splash of yellow from some flower or other in the foreground by the Magnolia (which has this week decided to drop its leaves (the Maples having done that the week before)) and a faint splash of pink here and there from the Sedums against the fence and the Hydrangeas.
The garden is at last ready for winter.
All of my garden photographs are now tagged philsgarden and if you wish to see it change through the months (obviously only if you feel that way inclined and have nothing better to do) click here
that is so interesting! living in a subtropical place is so different, I have swathes of garden areas that flower all year round and I don't even get frost.
this has made me really appreciate the difference in the seasons that you experience and it's especially great that you take the time to link to your previous shots as I had a lovely time viewing each month.
@koalagardens Thank you. It’s a labour of love at weekends, as I work away from home during the week. Majority of the plants look after themselves.
Seasons over here have kind of merged since I was a kid, they certainly aren’t as defined as they were.
It's great to see how things change over the year. We had same frost too - very cold but swede and parsnip will be better for it. I have never grown Dahlias but would like to - do they always need lifting? Any tips for a beginner?
