This was it. This was as much as we saw, and this is 16 miles from home, where there was even less.
Took this as Carole was in the bauble shop as I put the Christmas Tree in the boot of the car.
The ‘Elf & Safety’ mafia cancelled the last day of the Lincoln Christmas Market last night, because of the forecasted armegeddon (even though every map showed Lincoln right on the edge of the expected/suspected weather front). I feel for the stall-holders, those who had booked coach trips from all around the UK for today, and the future of my country. Having lived in Berlin for 4 years, where it snows every year, tons of it, inches (or centre-metres for my EU followers) of it, and I never saw a market closed.
It’s all gone now from home; it’s raining. Expected to freeze tonight, so I’m not travelling down to Wilts until tomorrow.
Ah well, back to the annual ritual of untying the tree lights that were put in the loft/attic perfectly in January.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
Beautiful scene - shame about the market being cancelled! We certainly don't know how to cope when it snows in the uk do we. We also only had a smattering, quite disappointing
Gorgeous winter image mate 😊 It is so maddening how we get a flake of snow and immediately think the end of the world is coming 😳 Gutted we didn't get any though 😳
That’s an awesome capture Phil, and even more awesome on black. I was listening to the Jeremy Vine programme at lunchtime today re the Lincoln Christmas Market debacle. The idiots who make these decisions have absolutely no idea of or they don’t care about the consequences.
