Mute Swan by phil_sandford

Mute Swan

As you've seen from the posts of @carole_sandford a few minutes ago, we had a very pleasant stroll around Hartsholme Park this afternoon in the sunshine. Whereas Carole has focussed (no pun intended) on the rhododendrons, that are coming out in in flower, I've decided to spare you my humble efforts with those blooms.

I sat and watched this swan coming towards me on the bank where I was sat, it obviously thought I had food; when it had realised I had none, it began to dip its head into the water, and like a dog, shake it to clear the water from its feathers on cominng back up for air. I've never seen a swan, or any bird for that matter, do that and managed to capture the water flying from her head.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.

A stunning capture.

Super image. The sunlight on the back of his head also emphasises the water droplets too.
