Paphos Sunset by phil_sandford

Paphos Sunset

Carole and I have had a lovely day today with an old friend who we got to know really very well during our tour here in the late 90s, Margaret.

Marg and her husband Pete, retired out here in 2010. Sadly Pete passed away in 2013 after a short illness. Marg has stayed and made her life in a village to the north of Paphos with many ex-pat and Cypriot friends. She took us right along the Western and North-West coast of the island, lunch in Latchi (finest Calamari I have ever tasted) along coastal roads that we had never been along before and, from the number of 3 point turns, through villages that even Marg had never been to before.

Carole said that she felt less stressed in the car with Marg driving than with me; possibly because Marg, after 8 years here now drives like a Cypriot 🤣🤣

This sunset (yes another, no apologies from me (and another offering very similar to Carole’s today)) was taken as we dropped down from Marg’s village into Coral Bay. A bit cloudy today, which adds to the effect.

Last full day tomorrow, not sure yet if it will be a pool day or a road trip. Either way, we have been invited back to stay with Marg “anytime; please do come, don’t just say you will” and we’ll be boring you again with Cypriot sunsets next year.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
Such a beautiful sunset … post everyday when it is this beautiful.
