Something about poppies that I always find so appealing. They seem so vulnerable and lightweight and yet have such sturdy stems. Resilience and vulnerability intertwined maybe.

@phil_sandford Probably the same here. Hubby was an RA officer and the teenager is an RAF cadet. Along with other family members and their military past, it does have a huge added poignancy.
