Killer by phil_sandford

Killer

A daily visitor at the moment, our almost resident Sparrowhawk. In Lincolnshire they’re the top raptor and will probably remain at that level until the Red Kites make it this far norrh.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
I would have to call him Nelson. He seems to have lost an arm! Or is it a leg.....

Do you not have red kites?? They're blooming endemic down here now - along with buzzard- and we have fewer 'larder' birds now, which means fewer birds in our gardens and very much fewer sparrahawks.

Your one here looks very fluffy!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond The Red Kites haven’t reached this far north yet - around Peterborough at the moment. They’re coming though.

Very very windy which was blowing his feathers making him look ‘fluffy’ 😜
